The Disaster Preparedness and Prevention program is designed to educate individuals, homeowners, and business professionals on how to effectively prepare for, respond to, and reduce the impact of disasters. This program provides a comprehensive overview of the various types of disasters and emphasizes the importance of proactive planning and prevention to protect lives, property, and operations.
03.HUMAN TRAFFICKING TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
Human trafficking can affect adults and children in ways that are not always immediately visible. This 1st Source Defense, LLC program introduces the signs of sex and labor trafficking, how exploitation can occur, and why an informed, respectful response matters. It is designed to strengthen awareness among law enforcement and the communities they serve.
04.ACTIVE SHOOTER UNDERSTANDING THROUGH CIVILIAN...
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Preparation can help people make decisions during a frightening emergency. This training introduces civilians to recognizing potential danger, considering their options, and planning how to respond in the places where they work, learn, and gather. Participants also discuss what to expect from emergency responders and why support after an incident matters.
05.GANG AWARENESS AND PREVENTION
The Gang Awareness and Prevention Program (G.A.P.P.) supports young people through education, mentoring, and community involvement. Designed for youth with a range of experiences and needs, it gives families and community partners a way to address challenges early and help participants build a more positive path forward.
06.TRAIN THE TRAINER: NO BULLYING PREVENTION
Help the adults who work with young people lead stronger conversations about bullying. This program prepares law enforcement personnel and other school partners to present age-appropriate bullying prevention lessons, engage students in discussion, and build confidence as instructors and facilitators.
07.RE-DIRECTIONS PROGRAM FOR AT-RISK YOUTH
Re-Directions is a ten-week program for adolescents and young adults to explore their strengths, make decisions, and plan for their future. Through guided group discussions, activities, and community service, participants practice setting goals, handling conflict, and building everyday life skills.
08.SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING
Protect Yourself! Self-Defense and You Personal safety begins with awareness and preparation. This instructor-led course helps participants assess their surroundings, recognize concerning situations, use clear verbal boundaries, and consider ways to avoid danger and/or get to safety. It combines discussion with practical activities that participants can approach at their own comfort level.
09.PROTECTING OUR PROTECTORS MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS
Officers respond to people in crisis while carrying the demands of the job themselves. Protecting Our Protectors is a practical, trauma-informed training program that strengthens behavioral-health awareness, crisis communication, and officer wellness. It also helps agencies examine how leadership, peer support, and community partnerships can connect people with the right resources.
10.WOMEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT
Women have shaped law enforcement throughout its history and continue to lead its future. This program explores their contributions, the challenges that can affect recruitment and advancement, and the role agency culture plays in helping personnel thrive. Participants discuss ethics, leadership, mentoring, and fair opportunities within the profession.
