POLICING THROUGH LEADERSHIP (LAW ENFORCEMENT & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP)

Service Description

Strong leadership shapes an agency’s culture and the relationships it builds with the community. Policing Through Leadership is a four-day course developed by 1st Source Defense, LLC for police chiefs, command staff, supervisors, and professionals with public safety leadership responsibilities. Through discussion, reflection, and practical scenarios, participants explore how everyday leadership decisions influence professionalism, accountability, and public trust. The course focuses on: • Ethical decision-making, character, and integrity • Supervision, communication, and clear expectations • Mentoring personnel and strengthening agency culture • Fair and inclusive practices • Community policing, transparency, and meaningful partnerships Participants apply these concepts through tabletop discussions and leadership scenarios, identifying practical approaches they can adapt to their agencies and organizations. From supporting personnel to engaging the people they serve, participants examine what it means to lead with purpose—and turn leadership principles into everyday practice.
