Women have shaped law enforcement throughout its history and continue to lead its future. This program explores their contributions, the challenges that can affect recruitment and advancement, and the role agency culture plays in helping personnel thrive. Participants discuss ethics, leadership, mentoring, and fair opportunities within the profession. What helps women enter law enforcement, build lasting careers, and move into leadership? Ladies in Law Enforcement & Leadership brings participants together to examine those questions and consider how agencies can put the answers into practice. The course looks at women’s contributions to the profession and explores ethical decision-making, workplace culture, recruitment, retention, and advancement. Participants discuss barriers that may affect career opportunities, the value of mentoring, and how leaders can create an environment where personnel are respected and heard. Designed for women in law enforcement and the leaders who support them, the program encourages open discussion and reflection on what agencies can do to strengthen opportunity and leadership development.
